American made large frame stainless steel double action revolver chambered for .44 Magnum. The 'Classic' 629-5 was introduced in 1997, and manufactured in Springfield, MA. Featuring a 6.5" barrel, fluted six-shot cylinder, shrouded ejector rod, full-length underlug, smooth grip straps, micrometer adjustable rear sight with white outline, pinned partridge front sight with brass insert, smooth curved color-case trigger, color-case hammer, checkered hammer spur, and two-piece finger grooved hardwood grips. The stainless steel finish finish remaining is approximately 98% with only superficial blemishes, and a light drag line on the cylinder. Grips are excellent with nothing remarkable. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder looks very good, but needs to be cleaned. Action is smooth and crisp with a good lock-up. Comes with the original hard case, owners manual, and lock.
